YL - Statistic!

I was going to say I would finally become a statistic .... but I realised I'm already a statistic. lol =)

What I do also realise is I should have bought shares in Roche (company that makes Tamiflu) YEARS ago.

Hindsight is awesome.

Shoshe - Harvest!

Over the weekend I thinned out the indoor lettuce crop, and we had miniature salads. The remaining lettuces have grown impressively over the past few days.

And my GI doctor has me eating plastic (literally).

Anna : Teeth

Four wisdom teeth out on Sunday. Good news is I have strong bones, bad news is that meant it was a fight to get the two impacted ones out (apparently usually people's bones have a bit more "give" to them).

Slowly getting better, cheeks still chipmunky, tongue tastes like old sock. Lying around at home watching Drop the Dead Donkey, Dexter and Murder Rooms.

Guy - Sick Day

Being locked in a room with 30 teenagers is difficult, more so when you've got the lurgy.
I failed to talk a student out of dumping Studies in Religion because "it is boring" and switching to Business Studies. I don't feel that I'm making the subject very interesting. Oh well.
In Oscar tipping I got 8 out of 25, and for the record I work hard to be that wrong.
Took a sick day to recover, ended up doing piles of small jobs which had been building up. I'll sleep when I'm dead?

Spent three days straight at home sick on the sofa.

Evelyn - Sick Days

Just spent two days home sick (seems there are at least two viruses sweeping the country), so now I'm addicted to Dexter. Damn, will the next episode hurry up and download!

Anna : Middling Sickness

Been feeling slightly iffy for about a week now, the stresses of the last 3 months walking my body slowly towards flu town. A sneeze here, a long tired afternoon there, and everyday it gets harder to get out of bed.

My question for the week is : How can Doug Liman films be so good yet so absolutely forgettable at the same time? I'm looking at you "Bourne Identity"

Evelyn - Damn German Germs

I forgot to mention - when Christina and Peter left, they left behind some kind of nasty German cold. Second day off work - still feeling miserable!

Becstarr : Felled over

Ordered a Greek salad for breakfast (?) and then almost cried because I couldn't eat it. Realised I had the sookiness that comes with being sick. Cried off attending the Mountains trip (good move!) and stayed home pirating J's broadband. Surfed lots and had a lovely chat to flatmate Sarah in the evening. Highlight of the day: Zoe's moving into the Redfern house asap to escape dodgy coneheads. Less house-hunting is a good thing. Hurrah!

Becstarr : Fluctuations

Fluctuated between feeling well and awful. On the up-side, got the OK from my project manger to work from home ("whatever it takes!") to get a nasty piece of work done. Also had a truly informative and useful seminar on copyright / fair use (for edu) from Kate Sexton, Librarian Extraordinaire. Staff lunchtime session next week, for those interested.

Becstarr : Nutrition and nausea

Had a great afternoon meeting with Beth & Natalie (new RA) from Nutrition where we talked through their awesome learning flow diagram for the nutrition case studies (a project I jump back into in about 3 weeks). We're getting case studies from RPA ICU and some from North Shore. Excitement!
The rest of the day was a bit of a write-off due to the flu, but the meeting made up for it!

becstarr : Should have stayed home

Went to work, caned it, didn't stop for lunch (3rd day in a row), didn't twig that I was getting sick until I fell asleep on the couch and had to be put to bed (very grumpily).

Anna : Home Sick, Serenity and Chicken Cooking

Home sick again, slept until 12 and then watched Serenity to round off my mid-year Nathan Fillion kick (watched the ill fated "Drive" last weekend). Now got a chicken roasting in a made up recipe the oven, it smells good already!

Anna - Home sick

Feeling under the weather ... and it's an excellent rainy day to do it. *cough* *cough* *sniff* *moan*
