Ben - 10, 000
The assignment that I'm doing just passed the 10000 word count, and I still have a section and a half to do.
Join the teachers, they said. See the world, they said...
Also, my fridge broke down last week. For a few days I was eating like a king as I chowed my way through everything in the freezer before it went off. But since then I've been living on food made from supplies from my cupboard. It's surprising how quickly you tire of lentils, polenta, plain spaghetti and pea soup without any bacon.
If only I had a cask of fruity lexia and a bad haircut, I'd be a true student cliche.

Ben - Computer go boom.
My computer broke down the other day, taking half an assignment with it. Fortunately, it was an easy assignment. Unfortunately, my computer is broken. I've been trying to play Age of Empires with plastic counters, but it's just not the same.

Kit remembers to hand stuff in
The pesky assignment, which was due in November (08), has *finally* been handed in.

Ben - Exhausted
I had 5000 words worth of assignments due this week, which I just finished. Not one 5000 word assignment, that would be too easy, no, two 1500 wd essays and two 1000 wd. There is now just one short online German quiz between myself and some well-earned beer.
If I learned nothing else, I learned that that I hate referencing. Fortunately, when actually working as a primary teacher, you can steal all the ideas you want and nobody cares.
I also cooked up some homemade marscapone on Tuesday. It's very nice, and surprisingly easy to make.

Ben - Nearly There
Almost all my pre-holiday work done, having just handed in my HSIE assignment. Basically, we were making HSIE resources - some of them looked really good. Mine doesn't look that great, but people have been complementing me on it, so who knows?
Now all I have is one German test between me and the holidays.
Yay, holidays in rainy Newcastle!
Oh, well, I can finally take the time to write an Uncyclopedia article about Uncle Remus, or Grape Nehi or something.

Ben - Lousy Damn Essay
That essay I've been enjoying writing has somehow expanded to the point that it'll end up horribly late.
Moral - schoolwork is a terrible chore to be barely endured and finished with as soon as possible; look at it any other way and you're dead in the water.

Ben - Huh?
Writing a essay. Actually a) learning something through writing it and b) kind of enjoying it.
I'm sure it'll pass.
Oh, and for the record, I did like the new Master. He lacks some of the gravitas of former Masters, but makes up for it through sheer psychosis and moustache-twirling nastiness. Looking forward to the season finale.

Ben - Rockin' On
Got back that assignment I was so proud of writing in a day; got a solid credit, setting me up for a credit over all, or maybe a D if I do really well in the exam. Feelin' good, which I wasn't this morning, when I was feeling terrified. Marks are worrying me a lot for obvious reasons, and it's counterproductive; I used to get much better marks back when I didn't give a shit whether or not I passed. Mind you, I'm not getting so many absent fails, so swings and roundabouts.
Think I might have possums in my roof cavity. At least I hope it's possums; they're the least unpleasant of all the things that could be making scratching sounds late at night. Better find out for sure before I put traps down; I'm not the most sentimental soul where animals are concerned, but I don't want to see a dead possum staring up at me from a rat trap.
