I found the easiest way to do the rubiks cube is to take it apart and put it back together again. Its not cheating, it's just lateral thinking.
Aargh! Noooooooo!
Update: I have now done it in four and a half minutes, not once, but twice this morning!
I remember removing all the coloured stickers and putting them into their correct spots. Lateral!
