Evelyn - Aerial Assault Course: Conquered!
After seeing posters up at the gym, I was finally tempted to get myself organised enough to the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena for the Aerial Assault Course. Brilliant fun, and except for the bruises inherent in running into wooden logs, not particularly strenuous. No photos of me, but here is a bbc thing about it.

All sixes and sevens.
Last week, I climbed with someone with no fingers*.
Today I am having one of those almost everything goes wrong type days. You know, the message pops up "Are you you sure you wish to erase your hard drive, and replace with random 1's and 0's?", and you accidently click the wrong button.
* Well, he had mostly first-knuckles only. And one full thumb. I think it was frostbite, but I was too embarrassed to ask. Bloody good climber though. On the reds/blacks, for those in the know.

Day off has side effects
I took Wednesday off for a "me" day, and to go climbing in the Blue Mountains. Fun! However, an unintended side effect is that Thursday now feels like a Monday. Hard to get out of the house.

Kit - weekend and counting down
Tried terribly hard not to think about work over the weekend. Climbed in the Blue Mountains on Saturday, struggled up a grade 20 complaining the whole way. Slept 12hr straight - getting worried that I've managed to do that 2 weekends in a row. Finished HP7 for the 2nd time, now re-reading from number 2. Packed for holiday, bag feels "too empty".
