I recommend that you keep going - each season gets better than the last. S3 will have you cheering for one of the Po-Lice Majors and booing "the man". S4 will... well, depress the crap out of you in an interesting way. S5 has just started over here.

My current favourite thing about the wire is that every credit sequence has included the shot of the boys destroying the security cameras in the towers. One can only assume that the shot took SO long to perfect that they had to include it for every season.
